iGive Video Contest - Tips and Tricks

Everything you need to know to enter (and win 😎) the iGive 2022 Video Contest.

Contest runs September 6 - September 13th, 2022.  

First and foremost, if you’re not already a member, you must be an iGive member to participate.   Please sign up HERE  to join iGive and be eligible!  

 View our submission tips and brand guidelines:  

  • Video Content - Please tell us what you love about iGive & your chosen charity in under 45 seconds.
    • You MUST mention iGive and your Cause (by name) in the video to qualify as an entry.
    • Questions to answer or suggestions of what to share when recording your video: 
      • Why do you love iGive? 
      • What stores or vendors or service providers do you like most on the iGive platform? 
      • Share how your charity or cause has benefited from your iGive shopping (raised money for new band uniforms, or were able to feed 5 rescue dogs this month, etc.). 
      • How are you planning on using iGive in the future?
  • Presentation  - It's your time to shine! Wear your favorite outfit or something you feel comfortable in.
  • Apparel Suggestions -  Avoid busy patterns. Simple designs and colors look best on camera. 
  • Video Length  - No more than 45 seconds. 
  • Video Size  - File must be no bigger than 100MB.
  • Language  - No profanity or foul language. Please speak slowly, clearly and be concise.  
    •  Suggested language/topics - 
      •  Every time I shop, I support my favorite charity (your cause's name here)! 
      •  Great deals on shoes at Macy's AND supporting (your cause's name here)?! Talk about guilt-free shopping. 
      • I don't always have extra money to donate, but there's always things I need to buy. Now whenever I shop, I'm also giving to (your cause's name here).
      •  I love that iGive is a different kind of rewards program. 
      •  If you're not a member, you are missing out. 
  • Background  - Please ensure a clean, professional and bright background with a lot of light. Avoid messy spaces, bedrooms, dark or poorly lit areas. Simple backgrounds will work best on camera. 
  • Be Yourself!  -  You’re amazing. Feel comfortable showing your personality and what makes you, YOU.

Don't wear busy patterns. Do wear simple solid colors.

To be eligible to win, please submit  your video here and  post to your public Facebook and/or Instagram with the hashtag #iShopiGive. 

Prize Details: 

*The first 1,000 iGive members who submit a video that meets the above standards will earn a $5 Bonus Donation for their iGive charity. NOTE: Total charity donation is limited to $50. (For example, if 15 members supporting the same cause all enter valid videos, only 10 submissions will earn the $5 donation, totaling $50 for the single cause they all support.)  Individual prize limit - one per person.  Multiple entries by the same person will only qualify for one bonus donation to their cause.

*The Top 3 videos (as determined by iGive) will each earn the submitting member a $50 gift card to Walmart.

  Disclosure: Submitted videos may be used for advertising and marketing purposes.  

  *  Entrants grant iGive the right to use their names, photographs, statements, quotes, testimonials, and video submissions for advertising, publicity, and promotional purposes without notification or further compensation.  

  *  Entrants also grant iGive the right to use, reproduce, reprint, distribute, perform, and/or display the entrant’s video without further compensation or notification to the entrant.  

  * iGive maintains the right to reproduce, reprint, distribute, perform, display, or exhibit the video  for advertising, publicity, and promotional purposes on their website, at conferences, or at any other venues.  

  * By accepting the prizes, winners agree to hold iGive and all iGive employees harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of use of such prizes. Winner assumes all liability for any injury or damage caused from participation in the contest or use/redemption of any prize.
