Lincoln Charities Inc. is a Dallas, TX based Cause who describes their mission as:
Serve
our employees and their families in times of need, distress, or
tragedy. We are dedicated to the purpose of inspiring hope and restoring
welfare through the generosity of our employees, residents, and
business partners.

They have raised almost $900 toward that mission with iGive.com.

One of their supporters, Jennifer, recently dropped us a line with some more detail of their recent "Good Works" -
"Lincoln Charities helped a woman in San Diego when the rental property
where she was living went in to foreclosure and she was forced to move.
Even though she had been paying her rent every month, she had to go
because the house was going back to the bank. She and her husband and
three daughters had nowhere to turn. And they didn't have the money
necessary for a move (security deposit, first month's rent, moving truck
rental, etc.) Lincoln Charities helped her cover these expenses so the
family wouldn't be out on the street. Lincoln Charities is able to
assist people like this only because of our generous donors. Won't you
please consider making Lincoln Charities your beneficiary on iGive?
Thank you!"

Thanks for sharing your story and keep up the Good Work!

The Adobe Foundation and Discovery Education partner to empower educators in helping students gain critical technology skills.

The Adobe Foundation and Discovery Education announced this past June their
partnership to provide curriculum and resources to help educators weave
digital media making into their teaching practice and actively engage
students in gaining critical technology skills. Launched at Discovery
Education’s International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) conference
kick-off event, the new Adobe Youth Voices Essentials curriculum will
be shared with educators by leveraging Discovery Education’s Discovery
Educator Network (DEN), a global community of educators who are
passionate about teaching with digital media, sharing resources,
collaborating and networking.

About Adobe Youth Voices

Adobe Youth Voices is the Adobe Foundation’s global
philanthropic initiative that empowers youth from undeserved
communities with digital media skills so they can comment on their
world, share their ideas and take action on issues that are important to
them. By harnessing the energy and insight of youth 13–18 years old,
Adobe Youth Voices aims to inspire a dialogue for change in their
communities.

The program engages youth to express themselves through
documentary videos, photography, print media, radio diaries, animation,
Web communications and other media. The Adobe Youth Voices global
network now includes more than 800 sites, grantees and organizations in
52 countries. For more information, visit www.youthvoices.adobe.com.

You can shop Adobe through iGive, with confidence that they'll be making a difference for their community and you'll be making a difference for your Cause - that's Good Work all around!

Tenay recently wrote us a note about her iGive Cause of choice: PINCC (Prevention International: No Cervical Cancer)

"PINCC is a non-profit, volunteer medical service organization whose
mission is to create sustainable programs that prevent cervical cancer
by educating women, training medical personnel, and equipping facilities
in developing countries, utilizing proven, low cost, accessible
technology methods. Cervical cancer is one of the deadliest cancers
afflicting women worldwide. Every day over 1,450 women are diagnosed
with this preventable disease; more than half of these women will not
survive. iGive donations have helped pay for women in Latin America,
India, and Africa to receive cervical cancer screenings and precancerous
treatment, but this is only the beginning. Our goal is to help clinics
set up sustainable cervical cancer prevention programs. This year, with
the help of the iGive community, PINCC hopes to raise enough donations
from iGve to help one of our twelve clinics become self-sufficient. With
your help we can prevent the needless deaths of thousands of women!"

This Cause has earned nearly $200 from their supporters iGive activity. To learn more about their efforts & activities, you can check out the PINCC facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/PINCC
Better World Books recently joined the iGive.com Mall and they share our goals of making it easy to give! Starting August 15, 2011, they started a simple system: You buy, they donate - Book for Book (TM).

Check out the video and read more about how they reached the $10 Million Milestone!

According to Better World Books, "We want to make doing
good as easy as possible for our outrageously passionate community.
The partners we
donate to are Books for Africa, one of our longtime non-profit literacy
partners, and Feed the Children, who have been champions in finding new
homes for books. Let's be clear, though. We're not patting ourselves on the back... this is your good deed. Books can only be donated because you support it through your purchases. So congratulations, and above all, THANK YOU."

And now that they are a part of iGive - every purchase you make means a Donation for your Cause, too. We're glad to have them on board and add our Thanks to theirs! Good Work!

Diane dropped us a note via facebook to let us know about her iGive Cause: Little Angels Rescue, Inc. is a no-kill small breed dog rescue organization located in Southwest Florida.
Lots of Causes use facebook, Twitter, and more to engage their supporters and tell their stories.

Diane's story: "Little Angels Rescue in Arcadia is so grateful for every penny we earn
to help abandoned and unwanted little dogs. In these times with so many
people losing their jobs and homes our help is needed even more. Join
our facebook page as well as signing up to help us help them on
iGive.com. We recently rescued several little ones from Mississippi to
help make room in shelters there for more storm victims. Currently we
are trying to raise funds for a family to keep their 11 year old
chihuahua in their home who are having financial problems due to the
economy which doesn't allow them to feed their children and provide
necessary vet care for this older little guy. Thanks for any help you can
give us."

You can use facebook (& now Twitter!) to automatically spread the word about iGive and your Cause too - check out these tips and make sure your Cause Administrator has everything set to make the most of the relationship! It's super easy - and it works! Little Angels Rescue, Inc. has raised almost $400 since December 2011 - that's a lot of pennies!
